Violet K. Miller

Violet K. Miller, 104, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in the care of Brethren Village of Lititz. She was the widow of Joseph A. Miller, who passed away in 2014. Born in Tamaqua to the late Peter and Alexandria (Polkoski) Dombrosky, Violet graduated from Tamaqua High School in 1936.

Violet served as the secretary and bookkeeper for Lincoln Park United Methodist Church until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church.

She was an avid fisherwoman. She also traveled throughout Europe and the U.S. She loved gardening. Above all else, she treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bunting of East Petersburg; her grandchildren, Kimberly R. Spence (Layne) of Clinton, MT, and Christopher W. Bunting of Lancaster; and her great grandchildren, Saoirse and Soleil. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas, and her sister, Stasia.

A Committal Service will be held in the spring at Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
