Violet M. Leier

Violet M. Leier, 87, formerly of the Episcopal House, Reading died October 13 at 1:07 p.m. in Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp. where she had been since August 30.

Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Mae P. (Barnhart) Leier.

She was first employed by various restaurants in the Reading area as a waitress for a number of years. Later, she was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital as a short order cook until her retirement in 1995.

She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Leier is survived by one niece Sandy J. (Leier) Doll, Exeter Twp. and one nephew, Barry J. Leier, Douglassville. There are also 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
