Violet G. (Nagle) Kunkelman, 84, died Thursday, May 15, 2009 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.
She was the widow of Walter H. Kunkelman.
Born in Reading, on November 13, 1924, Violet was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Schaeffer) Nagle.
Violet was employed as a baker by Sussex County School District in Delaware for over 25 years.
Survivors include a son, James E., husband of Donna B. Mauldin of Sinking Spring; a daughter, Bonnie L., wife of Paul R. Demkovic of Wernersville; a brother, Charles Nagle, Jr. of Lititz.
Three grandchildren includes: Jennifer L. O'Brien of Bethlehem; Janine R. Busack of Wyomissing; and Lisa M. Davis of Newport, PA. Six great-grandchildren includes: Reghan Renee and Keegan Patrick O'Brien; and Kayla E. and Evan C. Busack; and Emily M. and Joel C. Davis.
She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
Violet loved to fish, needlework, baking, and spending time with family pets and especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with a viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to an animal shelter of choice or to West Lawn United Methodist Church Youth, 15 Woodside Avenue, West Lawn, PA 19609.
