Vincenzo A. Scarpitti

Vincenzo A. Scarpitti, 70, of Wyomissing, died September 1, 2008 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Filomena (Ciarlone) Scarpitti.

Born in Roccasicura, Italy, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Rosa (Franceschetti) Scarpitti.

He was a mason for Frank Ferrara and Sons and later for Ciatto Construction for a total of 35 years, retiring in 2000.

Mr. Scarpitti was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

He served in the Italian Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Fernando A., Wyomissing and his three daughters, Rose A. Scarpitti, West Reading; Maria S., wife of Christopher Kline, Wyomissing and Lisa M., wife of Brian Johnston, Shillington.

There are two brothers, Ralph, Queens, NY and Edwardo, Italy and two sisters, Lina Lombardi, Queens, NY and Emma DiVito, Wyomissing. Three grandchildren, Nicolas Kline, C.J. Kline and Jacob Johnston also survive him.

Family and friends are invited Friday at 9:30 a.m. to Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
