Vincenzo S. Elia

Vincenzo S. Elia, 86, of Muhlenberg Township, died March 19 at 12:30 a.m. in Reading Hospital where he had been since March 14.

He was the husband of Victoria (Bartone) Elia.

Born in Cerva, Catanzaro, Italy, he was the son of the late Francesco and Giuseppina (Caligiuri) Elia.

He was employed as an auto body repairman for R.H. Rennninger Auto Body, Wyomissing for 14 years retiring in 1979.

Elia was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

In addition to his wife he is also survived by three daughters, Dr. Josephine Elia, Pennllyn, Montgomery County, Concetta (Elia) Pereira, Brooklyn, NY, and Annette E. (Elia) Vail, Wyomissing. Other survivors include 2 brothers, Ralph Elia, Reading and Nick Elia, Exeter Twp. There are also 3 sisters, Ninetta (Elia) LePera, Italy, Teresa (Elia) Lupia, Muhlenberg Twp. and Caterina (Elia)Gigliotti, Wyomissing Hills. There are also 5 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's RCC, Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
