Victor L. "Addie" Snyder Sr., 74 of 158 Lake Shore Drive, Maidencreek Township, died March 21st at 9:56 a.m. in the residence of a friend, Alice Reinert, 124 Main Street, Blandon.
His wife Adeline M. (Dunkelberger) Snyder, died December 6, 1996.
Born in Molltown, he was a son of the late Abner F. and Jennie S. (Dries) Snyder.
Snyder was employed for 42 years by the Allentown Cement Company, Evansville, until his retirement.
He was a member of Becker's (St. Peter's) Lutheran Church, Molltown.
Snyder was one of the founders and a life member of the Liar's Paradise Hunt Club, Coudersport, Potter County.
Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia M. (Snyder) Maggs, Reading; and three sons: Victor L. Jr., Blandon; Samuel W., Reading; and Thomas C., Mohrsville.
Other survivors include two brothers, Morris and Irvin, both of Fleetwood; and four sisters: Mabel (Snyder)Blessing and Dorothy (Snyder) Merkel, both of Reading; Betty (Snyder) Heinly, Leesport; and Verna (Snyder) Krick, Montrose Manor.
There are also 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Becker's (St. Peter's) church, 265 Maidencreek Road., Fleetwood, Pa 19522. Viewing in the church Sunday Evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Contributions may be made to the church. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc. 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, Pa 19605 is in charge of arrangements.
