Victor F. Carhuayano

Victor Carhuayano, 70, of West Reading, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. He was the husband of Rina (Del Castillo) Carhuayano.

Born in Huacho, Peru, he was the son of the late Gerardo and Enedina (Diaz) Carhuayano. Victor was an entrepreneur and master carpenter who owned a Custom Cabinet Shop in Brooklyn, NY and did work for celebrities, politicians, and record companies in New York City.

Victor was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed futbol, music and spending time with his grandkids. Victor will be remembered as a singer, comedian, and most importantly, a loving father, grandfather, and husband.

Survivors include his wife, Rina, children, Sandy Carhuayano (Christian Quintana) of Wyomissing and Carol Carhuayano (Kenneth Spitler) of Wyomissing; four grandchildren: Sandra Bennett, Christian Quintana Jr., Darion Quintana, and Benjamin Buckman. Five siblings: Ernesto, Alicia Rodriguez, Carmen, William and Gerardo Carhuayano also survive him.

Victor was predeceased by two siblings, Raul and Maria Carhuayano.

An evening viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 5:00-9:00 pm. at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. A Mass of Catholic Burial with the present body will be celebrated on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11:00 am. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading. The viewing will be held from 10:00 am. until the time of the Mass at the church.
