Verna L. Seaman

Verna L. (Koenig) Seaman, 100, died April 8th, 2010 of natural causes in her Tilden Township residence. She was born in Upper Bern Township and was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Emma A. (Haas) Koenig. Her husband Joel K. Seaman died November 29, 1982. She was a housewife most of her life and was a member of St. Michaels's Church, Tilden Township. She was president of the Ladies Aid and secretary for 27 years and also president of the guild and vice president until it dissolved. Verna was Inspector of Elections for 40 years in Tilden Township. She was a member of the Hamburg, Shoemakersville and Centerport Fire companies. She is survived by a foster son, Earl L. Katzaman and his wife Alice, Tilden Township and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S.4th Street, Hamburg. Friends may call Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. And Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Township.
