Verna E. (Tyner) Scholl, 86, died of natural causes December 12th at 2:00 am in her Muhlenberg Township residence.
She was the widow of Edward W. Scholl, who died October 25, 2001.
Born in Snowshoe, Centre County, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Almashie) Tyner.
She was a graduate of Snowshoe High School, Centre County.
Scholl was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Reading.
She was employed 20 years as an office clerk at Acme Markets, Reading, retiring in 1980.
Scholl is survived by a son, George Gamble of Temple.
Other survivors include four daughters, Georgia (Scholl) wife of Richard Phillips of Mechanicsburg, Virginia, Elizabeth (Gamble) Zatratz of Reading, Beverly (Gamble) wife of Kenneth Quire of Temple and Rebecca Gamble of Temple.
She is also survived by a brother, George Tyner of Reading and five sisters, Pauline (Tyner) Cella of Bellefonte, Centre Co., Margaret (Tyner) Shaw of Bellefonte, Centre Co., Eleanor (Tyner) Durachko of Clarence, Centre Co., Mary (Tyner) Casher of Snowshoe, Centre Co., and Elsie (Tyner) Rusnak of Snowshoe, Centre Co.
There are also 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Graveside Services will be Saturday at 10:00 am in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Rev. Gary Whittington officiating. Viewing Friday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale.
