Verna A. Wunder

Verna Arlene (Sanders) Wunder, 97, of Temple, died December 9, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the loving wife of Charles Milton "Tale" Wunder for 57 years. He died November 13, 1993.

Born June 14, 1914 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Howard E. and Carrie Mae (Rohrbach) Sanders.

Verna was employed as a spinner with both Meinig's Knitting Mills for 6 years and Nolde Knitting Mills for 2 years.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

Verna was a member of Kenhorst and Temple Fire Company Auxiliaries and was a founder of the Pagoda Motorcycle Club.

Surviving is a brother, Warren Harrison, husband of Betty (Mattern) Fisher of Laureldale.

Other survivors include her caring nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Verna was also predeceased by five siblings: Norman Sanders, Clarence Sanders, Jay Fisher, Sarah (Fisher) Strunk and Mildred (Fisher) Rigg.

Services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Fuenral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held an hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Twp.
