Vasiliki Zervanos

Vasiliki Zervanos, 91, of Manor at Market Square, Reading, died December 8, 2006 in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center.

Her husband Michael S. Zervanos, died October 5, 1987.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Evimeros N. and Marigo (Pazakas) Fournaris. She was raised in Hyannis, MA, until she returned to Reading in 1941 to marry her husband.

She was the co-owner with her husband of the former Brighter Restaurant which was located at 217 Penn Street in Reading. They retired in 1980.

Mrs. Zervanos was a member of SS Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Reading, where she was a member of the St. Xenia Philoptochos Society.

She also served on the Women's Auxiliary at Albright College.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Stam husband of Joyce (Baxewanis) Zervanos, Wyomissing and Evan husband of Sandra (Sianis) Zervanos, West Lawn. There is also one brother, Ross Fournaris, Reading and two sisters, Christine (Fournaris)Georgeadis, Lincoln Park and Deborah (Fournaris) Lambros, Montrose Manor. Five grandchildren, Mary M. Dialectos, Michael S. Zervanos, Michael E. Zervanos, Christopher A. Zervanos and Stephen E. Zervanos and eight great grandchildren also survive her. She was predeceased by one brother, Nicholas Fournaris and one sister Sadie (Fournaris) Petrakis.

Services will be Tuesday at 12 noon in SS Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church 1001 East Wyomissing Blvd. Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to SS Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at the above address.
