Vanda D. Genova

Vanda D. (Vicari) Genova, 82, of Wyomissing, passed away September 6, 2014 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Carlo Genova, to whom she was married to for 55 years.

Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late Oreste and Romilda Vicari.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Vanda was employed as a hairdresser for many years and at Kmart Department Store, before retiring at the age of 65.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Steven C., husband of Alison Genova, Sinking Spring and Lisa K., wife of Stephen Konopelski, Exeter Twp.

She is also survived by her brother, Elio Vicari, Muhlenberg Twp; and four grandchildren: Sam, Katie, Danny, and Matt.

Vanda was predeceased by her siblings, Albert, Lindy, Mario and Alma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church. Burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 9a.m in the church.
