Ursula Lenhart

Ursula Maria Lenhart, 89, of Cumru Township, passed away in the comfort of her home on May 6, 2025. Born in Koblenz, Germany, she was the daughter of Otto Richard Paganetti and Maria Antoinette Wohlenberg. Ursula was the loving wife of Thomas E. Lenhart, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.

Ursula attended Liebfrauen-Schule and then entered the Höhere Handelsschule and graduated after two years with a diploma. In Germany, she worked for Heinrich Lübke, Secretary of Agriculture as one of three Assistants/Sekretärin in Bonn, Germany. Mr. Lubke later became the President of Germany. In the United States, she worked at various businesses and held different positions at the Scott Paper Company, State Farm Insurance in Downingtown, and Brandywine Photo Lab. Throughout their years together, Ursula also provided much assistance in many ways to her husband's long standing business, Thomas E. Lenhart Photography Studio in Chester County.

Ursula loved to travel when she could. She enjoyed exploring with her long time friend Joan, when their husbands were not able to travel. She had a keen interest in the Native American culture. Ursula was an avid reader and she loved the outdoors, specifically gardening, feeding the birds, and hiking nature trails. A Jimmy Buffett fan, she looked forward to attending concerts with her NJ friends. Ursula was a very talented homemaker. She could adorn any space, whether a tiny apartment or a larger home, with her sense of style and beauty. She created a nice blend of German and American meals for her family and friends. Most importantly, she loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow and flourish, as well as her grand pups.

Ursula is survived by her daughters, Susan (Lenhart) Marra and Sharon (Lenhart) Hodge, and her husband, David Hodge. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Rachel Marra and her fiancé Evan Casanova, Keith Hodge and his wife Oksana Hodge, Emily Hodge, Julie (Hodge) Petropulos her husband Peter Petropulos and her four beautiful great grandchildren: Evelyn, Timothy, Hannah and Leah Hodge. Also surviving is her sister, Gisela Lorch, brother-in-law, Walther Lorch, nephew, Stefan Lorch and his wife Natalie and their daughter Charlotte.

Ursula was predeceased by her husband, parents, sister, Helge Dillig, and step-mother, Grete Paganetti.
