Toni M. Gelsinger

Toni M. (Grill) Gelsinger, 69, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in her Tilden Township residence.

She was the loving wife of Robert D. Gelsinger.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Gloria (Ludwig) Grill.

Toni had an immense passion for animals, and on many occasions, rescued and nursed them back to health, leading to their forever home. She was employed by Willow Creek Animal Hospital for over 18 years as a Veterinary Technician/Physical Therapist until retiring earlier this year. She lived a selfless life and touched the lives of each patient she took into her care.

She loved being outdoors, gardening, sleeping under the stars by the campfire and had a passion for collecting unique things. Toni's beautiful smile, giant spirit and infectious laugh brought joy and happiness to everyone around her.

Toni was a kind, loving, dedicated wife, mother; grandmother; and great-grandmother. Her friendly personality, caring nature and love of her family will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Jamie, wife of Jason Schlenker, Tracie, wife of Gerry Mercado, and Andrew Moyer; eight grandchildren: Michael Smith, Christopher Dorsey, Jr., Brandi Moyer, Brittney Moyer, Anthony Strunk, Ciara Mercado, Alex Mercado, and Kaley Schlenker; one great-grandchild, Sophia Lee Dorsey, and her beloved dog, Rolo.

She was predeceased by four siblings: Michael Grill, Sharon Scroble, Jody Hastings, and Katie Grill.

A visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with services to follow at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave. West Reading. Burial will be private.
