Timothy J. Oaks, 50, Spring Township, died of natural causes Aug. 30 at 5:25 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient 12 days.
He was the husband of Donna M. (Ettaro) Oaks.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Rose (Galeo) Osiecki, Wyomissing, and the late James Osiecki.
Oaks was employed for 28 years as manager of federal regulatory affairs by UGI Utilities Inc., Reading.
He was a 1973 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1977 graduate of Villanova University. He received his master's degree from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, in 1988.
Oaks was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
He was an adjunct professor of continuing education in the business department at Alvernia College for the past 18 years.
Oaks was chairman of the federal regulatory committee of the American Gas Association since 2003.
His wife and mother are his only survivors.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society C/O Timothy Oaks Pancreatic Cancer Research 498 Belluvue Ave. Reading, PA 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
