Thomas D. Wagner

Thomas Duncan Wagner, 82, of Wyomissing, died August 19, 2008, in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was married January 6, 1951 to the late Ann Whiteman (Dawson) Wagner, who died October 6, 1994.

Born in Reading, PA on May 31, 1926, he was a son of the late Dr. Jesse Levan Wagner and Augusta (Muhlenberg) Wagner.

Thomas was a 1943 graduate of the Taft School and a 1949 graduate of Cornell University.

He was an independent insurance agent for over 50 years, retiring in 2007.

Thomas was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea.

Thomas was a member of the Berkshire Country Club.

He volunteered with the Berks County Historical Society for 25 years and also volunteered his time with many other charitable organizations.

Thomas is survived by four children: Suzanne W. (Wagner), wife of J. Sample Magee of Jacksonville, Florida; Greta W. (Wagner), wife of David L. Fiest of West Chester, PA; Timothy D., husband of Katrine P. (Puyans) Wagner of Malvern, PA and T. Chad, husband of Susie C. (Caponi) Wagner of Charlotte, NC.

Other survivors include his friend and companion, Marge Winsor Thomas and ten grandchildren: Meghan W. Magee, J. Sean Magee, Mollie W. Magee, Erika W. Fiest, Gregory D. Fiest, Brian T. Wagner, Scott T. Wagner, Jenna A. Wagner, Jordan C. Wagner and Grant T. Wagner.

Memorial Services will be Monday at 11:00 am in Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, with the Rev. Richard H. Summy officiating. Burial will be private in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
