Thomas E. Shultz

Thomas E. Shultz, MD, 90, of The Highlands at Wyomissing, died on July 9, 2022, at The Highlands.

Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of Roy Shultz and Olive (Blatt) Shultz Brocha and the partner and spouse of Darryl S. Jeffries of 43 years.

He graduated from Albright College and Temple University and was a pathologist at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center for almost 30 years.

Shultz enjoyed his award-winning succulent plants and singing in various church Choirs and the Reading Choral Society and The Madrichor.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its choir, The Sons of the American Revolution for whom he served as a state officer, and the Philadelphia Cactus and Succulent Society.

In addition to Darryl, he is survived by his two sons, David T. (Sonia) and Jeffry (Kelley) a daughter, Patricia Bichefski (Robert), and four granddaughters.

Services will be Friday, July 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 527 Washington St., Reading, PA. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Reading Choral Society, 201 Washington St. Suite 504, Reading, PA 19601 or to the music program at Trinity Lutheran Church, 527 Washington St. Reading, PA 19601.
