Thomas Edward Rubright, 54, formerly of Reading, died July 15, 2013, in his Alpharetta, GA residence after a long battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Andra (Stoker) Rubright.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Robert W. and Jeanette A. (Loeper) Rubright, of Wyomissing.
He was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School in 1976 and earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Alvernia University in 1980.
Tom was employed 35 years by UPS, most recently as Director of Operations, Trade Risk Solutions Division.
Although Tom left Reading 20 years ago, he never lost his passion for his hometown teams, the Eagles and Phillies.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by four children, Thomas Edward Rubright Jr. and wife Erin Rubright of Cumming, GA; Timothy William Rubright of Alpharetta GA; Robert Thomas Palmer of Alpharetta; and Alexis Susann Palmer of Alpharetta; three brothers, Robert M., husband of Ann Rubright, Ellicott City, MD, James A., husband of Judy Rubright, Sinking Spring and John P., husband of Joann Rubright, Tampa, FL and seven nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Shillington followed immediately by a luncheon reception for all at Toscani Events on Van Reed Road in West Lawn.
