Thomas L. Riegel

Thomas L. Riegel, 77, of Lyons, passed away peacefully with his long-time companion, Joanne, and her son Richard by his side on November 22, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospice.

He was the companion of the loving and caring Joanne Wagner of Reading for more than 25 years.

Born at home, in Gouglersville, he was the son of the late Russell W. Edgar, husband of the late Margaret (Becker) Riegel-Edgar.

He attended Wilson High School where he swam on the swim team. He also attended Kutztown High School.

Thomas was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy.

He worked for Atlas Minerals and Chemicals for over 25 years as a tank liner before his retirement.

In addition to his loving companion, Thomas is survived by two children: Julie Riegel and Kelly Robb; one sister: Doris R. S. Miller, West Lawn; and one step-brother William A. Edgar, New Hampshire. He is also survived by 2 grandsons, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
