Thomas Reppert

Thomas "Tom" Michael Reppert, of Sinking Spring, PA, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on October 6, 2025. He was 61.

Tom grew up in West Reading and graduated from Wyomissing High School. He worked for Hubbell, formerly Gai-Tronics, in the tech department as a systems analyst for 28 years. His analytical mind and years of programming experience made him someone who could figure out how to solve any software problem.

Throughout his life, Tom believed in getting out in nature and staying active. He enjoyed rock climbing, camping, hiking, and skiing, and was an avid cyclist. No matter the activity, Tom would push himself to new goals and new limits. He loved traveling to new mountains to ski, and formerly raced bikes competitively. He was a member of the Berks County Bicycle Club, organizing the Shoo Fly Classic for several years. He was also passionate about flying personal aircraft and was working towards his private pilot's license at the time of his death. He was a member of the Tri-County Flyers Club, and this past summer, Tom took the club Cessna for a number of solo flights - a significant achievement for an amateur pilot.

When he wasn't out reaching new heights, Tom enjoyed reading science fiction, fantasy, and history books, and listening to folk and rock music. He curated both an impressive library and record collection.

His biggest pride, though, was his family. He was a dedicated father and a beloved grandfather. He was a champion of play time and a calming presence to his children and grandchildren, always knowing what would bring a smile to their faces, whether it was a bit of roughhousing or a calming lullaby. His loved ones knew him as a quiet man with a boisterous laugh.

Tom is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia "Trish" Reppert, his daughters, Jessica Maury (Shane Maury), of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Rebecca Reppert (Christopher Lavan), of Sinking Spring; his grandsons, Clark and Casper Maury; his parents, Royce and Frances Reppert of Wyomissing; and six brothers and sisters: Alan Reppert of Worthington, Ohio, Teresa Vogel (Steven Vogel) of Mohnton, Keith Reppert (Suzanne Reppert) of Mohnton, Ann Logue (John Logue) of Upper Black Eddy, Barbara Million (Eric Million) of Wrightstown, NJ, and Shawna Reppert of Dundee, Oregon, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A private family burial will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery. A wake celebrating his life will be held in the near future, open to all who knew and loved him.

Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, is honored to serve the Reppert family. Condolences may be recorded at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
