Thomas Charles Reber

Thomas C. Reber, 82, of Exeter Township, passed away on February 19, 2025 at Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of Charles T. and Margaret (Hiester) Reber. Tom was the loving spouse of Sheila M. (Zimmerman) Reber, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Tom devoted his professional life as a commercial truck driver.

Tom had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was the go-to person for support, whether it was a small favor or a big task. His enthusiasm for building and repairing things was evident, especially when it came to working on cars. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed playing slot machines at the casinos. He loved to bake and took pride in being the designated Christmas cookie baker each year.

In addition to his spouse, Tom is survived by his daughter, Dani Merkel (Brian), of Exeter, and his son, Wesley Reber, of Exeter. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Alexa Harvey (Daren) and Colby Merkel; his great-grandson, Asher Harvey who brought much joy to his life; and his sister, Frances Blystone.

Tom was predeceased by his siblings, Barbara Lepera, Peg Boyer, Jeanette Gaynor, and Pat Laity.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
