Thomas "Tom" D. Rapp, 87 passed away on September 1, 2025 at Fairlane Gardens, where he resided. He was the beloved husband of Christine (Ludwig) Rapp. They shared 47 years of love, laughter and adventure.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William Rapp and Evelyn (Polleiger) Rapp. He graduated from Reading High School. Tom as was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Tom worked for ADT and Rockwell Intl until his retirement.
He was a lifelong fan of the New York Jets, Tom's loyalty to his team never wavered, through the highs and the heartbreaks. Sundays in the fall were sacred, filled with hope, cheering, and plenty of football talk. Tom also had a deep love for animals, and his two cats, Gidget and Bandit.
Tom and Christine also enjoyed traveling, including a once-in-a-lifetime train journey across Canada—an experience that combined two of Tom's greatest passions: travel and trains. Tom's enthusiasm for model trains and corvettes brought him great joy throughout his life. His attention to detail, love for craftsmanship, and childlike wonder in watching the miniature worlds come to life brought joy to those lucky enough to share in his hobby.
In addition to his loving wife, Tom is survived by his step children, Rosemary K. Grill, and Christina White; his siblings, William Rapp and Margaret Spence-Rapp. He is predeceased by his stepson, Donald J. Deissler, and his step grandson, Travis White.
