Thomas Hunter Nicholson, Jr., 90, of Riverview and Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Rosement, PA, passed away March 11, 2013. Son of the late Thomas H. Nicholson and Florence Pennington Nicholson. Adoring brother to the late Helen N. Palmer. Loving husband of the late wife, Jane Maier Nicholson, loving father of Thomas H. Nicholson, III., Suzanne H. Nicholson (Harry Price) and the late Nancy Collins (Cyril J. Collins, Jr.) and late Lynne Nicholson. Dear grandfather and PopPop of Thomas H. Nicholson, IV., Kristen Anne Nicholson, Emily Jane-Marie Gabrysiak (Damian), Meredith Hart Collins, Andrew W. Price and Laura E. Price. Great grandfather of Rowan Thomas Gabrysiak. Tom was also predeceased by his second wife Marjorie Chamber Nicholson. Also survived by his step-daughter Joyce Chambers, grandchildren, Tracey Bolivar (Steve), Ashley Phillips (Michael) great-grand children Mattie and Michael Phillips, step-son, the late Robert G. and Lynne Chambers, granddaughter Nichol Chambers McCormick (Michael), great grandchildren Sophie, Michael, John, Matthew and Lila, grandson Rob Chambers (Gina).

Tom was a devoted family man all his life starting by supporting his mother and sister after his father's sudden death when Tom was 16 years old. He was a successful business man, enjoyed sales and all the people he met. He had many friends. Tom enjoyed sports such as basketball, soccer, golf, fishing, hunting and playing bridge. Tom fell in love with Jane in high school, they married on an airbase in Ontario, California before deploying out oversees during WWII. Tom joined the Army Air Corps and was an Intelligence Officer. He returned from the war to be reunited with his new family; finished his education at the Univ. of Pennsylvania and rec'd his B.S. degree in Business Administration. Tom joined his father's firm, L. P. Muller Inc. as a salesman in the textile business in their New York City office. He later attended N.C. State University and received an additional B.S. degree in Textile Management and attended Harvard Business School. Tom then opened L.P. Muller offices in Charlotte, NC in 1952 and Philadelphia, PA in 1960, where he later retired as President and CEO. After Jane's early death in 1988 he met and married the second love of his life, Marjorie Chambers. They both spent many happy years together in Vero Beach and in Pennsylvania. Tom loved his family; loved the two women in his life; loved and was so proud of his four children; his grandchildren; the most recent addition to his family – his great-grandson and all his step family.

Services will be Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Relatives and friends may call at the Church from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
