Thomas J. Murphy

Thomas J. Murphy, 63 of Hamburg died August 29th in his residence. He was the husband of Janet E. (Snyder) Murphy. Thomas was born in Carbondale and was the son of the late Thomas J. and Margaret (Adams) Murphy. He was employed as a tractor trailer truck driver for many years and last worked for R.M. Palmer Company for 14 years retiring in 2006. He was a 1965 graduate of Carbondale High School and an Army Veteran of Vietnam. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Patrick Joseph husband of Angeline Murphy, Hamburg and Glen Joseph Murphy, Hamburg. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg. A visitation with the family will be held 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
