Thomas M. Jones

Thomas M. Jones, 63, of Shillington, died July 8, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Virginia R. (Boekenkroeger) Jones.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Edward C. and Janet M. (Peters) Jones.

He was a 1965 graduate of West Reading High School.

Tom worked for Penske Truck Leasing for over 40 years, retiring as a Body Shop Manager in 2009.

He was a member of the Dingman Run Hunting Club and the Clover Park AA, Shillington.

Tom was a U.S. Army veteran serving with Company B 365th Engineering Unit.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children: Michael T. Jones, Shillington and Wendy L., wife of Daniel Pekol, Pottstown. Also surviving are his three siblings: Edward C., husband of Patsy Jones, Narvon; Stephen D., husband of Eileen Jones, West Reading and Susan L., wife of Scott Jones, Wyomissing. There are two grandchildren surviving, Thomas D. Pekol and Samantha M. Pekol.

A Memorial Service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
