Thomas Haas

Thomas Haas, born on March 18, 1959, in Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 27, 2026, in Greenville, North Carolina. He was 66 years old.

A visitation will take place Saturday, March 7, at 10am at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave. West Reading, PA 19611, followed by the service at 11am. Burial will follow at Alsace Lutheran Church, 2155 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA.

Tom was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and a love for adventure. He had an appreciation for cars and motorcycles, especially his old Harley Davidson. He and his grandchildren formed many memories on the back of his Harley. Tom was also a sports enthusiast and made sure to never miss a single game of his children or grandchildren’s. He also enjoyed driving around town, exploring new places to eat with his loved ones, and meeting new people along the way. He was loved by everyone who knew him and could light up any room with his laugh. He had a special way of making everyone he met feel like they had known each other for years.

Family was at the heart of Tom's life, known by those who loved him dearly as ‘Dad’ and ‘Pop-Pop’. He is survived by his daughter, Jillian Torre; son, Chad Haas; sisters, Debra Stavarski and Karen Rios, his twin; grandchildren, Kylie, Anthony, Nicea, and Gianni; and his great-granddaughter Eleanor. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Robert; and his older brother, Steve.

Tom’s vibrant personality and love for connecting with others left an indelible mark on those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
