Dr. Thomas J. Gosselin, 63 of West Reading died January 13 at 8:10 PM in Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where he had been since December 21, 2004.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Thomas) Gosselin.

He was a graduate of Msgr. Bonner High School, Philadelphia in 1960. He earned a BS in Biology from Mt. St. Mary's College, Emmitsburg, MD in 1964. In 1968, he was a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Philadelphia.

Gosselin was a self employed pedodontist under the title of Dr. Thomas J. Gosselin, DDS, Park Road Wyomissing for 30 years last working December 17, 2004.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Gosselin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam War.

He was inducted in the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Berks County Chapter.

Gosselin was Co-Founder of the Wyomissing Area Soccer Club in 1978.

He coached various youth soccer teams for both the Wyomissing and Reading-Berks Youth Soccer Clubs. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Reading-Berks Youth Soccer Organization.

Gosselin was a former Vice-President of the Mt. St. Mary's Alumni Association.

He is survived by 3 sons, Thomas J., Jr., Keymar, MD, Jonathan K., Wyomissing and Mark S. with whom he resided. There are also 2 sister, Diane (Gosselin) Knapp, Annapolis, MD, and Margaret (Gosselin) Smith, Downingtown. Ten Grandchildren also survive him.

Services will be Tuesday at 9 AM in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Twp., PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dr. Thomas J. Gosselin Memorial Fund 413 South 5th Avenue West Reading, PA 19611.
