Thomas E. Gorman, 62, formerly of Sayre, Pa. and currently of Hamburg, passed away February 17th, 2016 in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center, Reading, Pa. Tom was the husband of Sheila (French) Gorman to whom he was married to for 40 years. He was born in Sayre and was the son of the late Clarence and Eliza (Wayman) Gorman. Tom attended Sayre Area Schools. He began his career working for the Lehigh Valley Railroad in Sayre as a railroad car man. He worked for various railroads throughout the state, last working for Norfolk & Southern Railroad, Allentown. His career spanned 41 years. In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by sons: Chad husband of Cynthia Gorman, Exeter, Shaun husband of Kala Gorman and Aaron husband of Samantha Gorman both of Hamburg, daughters, Ashley and Brittany Gorman both of Hamburg. Seven grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister also survive him. Two brothers predeceased him. A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, February 21st from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, Pa. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor gifts, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
