Thomas Gilmore

Thomas R. Gilmore II, 75, of West Reading, passed away in his residence on July 12, 2024. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Rothermel). They shared 39 years of marriage.

Born in Reading to the late Thomas R. Gilmore I and Jean (Riegel) Gilmore, Tom graduated from Reading High School Class of 1966. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a cabinet maker who worked with Quaker Maid and Adelphi Kitchens.

Tom loved to fish, and he enjoyed cooking. An avid sports fan, he rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a very friendly man who will be missed by friends and family alike.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, Tom's memory will be treasured by his son, Zachary Gilmore, husband of Eileen (Koller) Gilmore, of Leesport, and grandchildren Lilah, Jack, and Charlotte Gilmore. Tom is also survived by his brother, William Gilmore, husband of Patricia, of Shillington.
