Thomas E. Congdon

Thomas Edward Congdon, 56, of 88 Meadow Court, (Spring Township), Sinking Spring, Pa 19608, died March 13th at 5:16 am in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been since Friday.

He was the husband of Mary Louise (DiBiase) Congdon.

Born in Sharon, Mercer County, he was a son of the late William and Alma (Ladig) Congdon.

He was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Congdon was a 1966 graduate of Brookfield High School, Sharon, PA and a graduate of Kent State University.

He was employed for six years as a vice president at Sovereign Bank, last working as a commercial loan officer in August 2003.

Congdon was an Army Veteran of Vietnam.

He is also survived by a step-son, Thomas M. Geffert of Spring Township.

Other survivors include a sister, Anna Mae (Congdon) Wolfe of Vero Beach, Florida and two brothers, David of Tornton, Col., and William of Middletown, Ohio.

Services will be Friday at 10:00 am in West Lawn United Methodist Church, Penn & Woodside Avenues, West Lawn, Pa 19609. Rev. Sherry L. Lantz officiating. Viewing Thursday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward Jr. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. No public viewing on Friday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
