Thomas Bademus Yahner

Thomas Bademus Yahner, Jr. 72, formerly of Reading, passed away in his Decatur, Alabama residence, Saturday, September 11, 2021. He was the companion of Mary Zvaigzne.

Born in West Reading on May 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Thomas B., Sr. and Marie (Fries) Yahner.

Thomas worked as a Bookkeeper at Gaspari Bros Inc. in Temple before retiring in 2015.

He was an avid reader and a fan of the Giants and 49ers.

In addition to his companion, Mary; Thomas is survived by two sisters, Marie A. wife of Jack Slusser of Reading and Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) wife of Peter Macaronis of Orlando, FL; nephews, Michael Slusser, Mark Slusser and his wife, Johanna Wong Slusser, John M. Hain and his wife, Lisa Yelk Hain and Nicholas Macaronis and his wife, Wendy Vargas Macaronis; one niece, Cindy Welch and her husband Steve; great nephews, Zachary and Andrew Slusser and Alexander Macaronis and great nieces, Natalie Slusser, Jasmine Slusser, Casie Hain and Samantha Welch.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is also predeceased by his brother, Edward J. Yahner.

A private graveside service will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611 is in charge of arrangements.
