Therese A. Messerknecht

Therese A. Messerknecht, 101, of Wyomissing Hills, died December 27, 2010 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.

Her husband, Otto F. Messerknecht, died July 28, 1981.

Born in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Siegman (Yüngling) Scharlach.

She is survived by her son, Frederick L., husband of Patricia A. Messerknecht, Wyomissing Hills. Also surviving are three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Dorothy A. Miller, in 2006.

Services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
