Theresa B. Koch

Theresa loved her large family and vacationing at Disney World and Stone Harbor. She was an excellent baker and known for her chocolate chip cookies. She taught all of her children how to make German fastnachts. She loved her sweets, especially rice krispie treats and marshmallows! Loved by all whose life she touched, she was everyone's "Oma."

Her faith was very important to her and she attended daily morning mass for over 60 years at Sacred Heart and St. Ignatius Loyola.

Theresa B. Koch, 92, passed away in her Wyomissing residence, on Sunday, December 26, 2021.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jake, in 1993.

Born in Reading, Theresa was the daughter of the late Peter and Marie (Hermann) Boulanger.

She graduated from Central Catholic High School and McCann School of Business, and was an executive secretary for Gilbert Associates.

She is survived by five children: Suzanne (Michael) Boylan; Thomas (Jamie) Koch; Martin (Suzanne) Koch; Jeanne (Eric) Buzby; and Nina (Steve) Lilley; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Theresa was predeceased by her brother, Francis (Ethel) Boulanger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr. Sinking Spring, PA 19608. The family respectfully asks all in attendance to wear masks. Entombment at Gethsemane Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Msgr.
