Theresa Hardy

Theresa K. Hardy, 70, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in her Sinking Spring residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Donald Hardy.

Born on December 7, 1955, in New Brunswick, NJ, to the late Dominick and Theresa (Bartkowech) Konopacki, Theresa graduated from South River High School in 1973.

Theresa was a fun-loving and vibrant soul who loved God and raised hell. Possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, she ran a jewelry business for many years and frequently set up pop-ups at art shows and collections. She was also a poet and author known for her "Poetry by Hardy."

Left to treasure Theresa's memory are her daughters, Tara Hardy of Sinking Spring and Marjorie Hardy of Sebastian, FL; her granddaughter, Skylar Leigh Wal​lsten; her brother, Dominic Konopacki of East Brunswick, NJ; her sisters, Valerie Matuchek of South Amboy, NJ, and Elizabeth Konopacki of Whiting, NJ; her niece, Alice Poley; her nephews, Andrew and David Konopacki; and her feline companions, Charmin and Cadida.

A visitation with her family, in her honor, will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611.
