Theresa J. (Indiciani) Harenza, 89, a resident of the Highlands at Wyomissing, passed away on February 11, 2012.
Born April 28,1922 in Columbus, OH, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Laurina (Volpe) Indiciani.
She was the wife of Joseph M. Harenza, Sr. to whom she was married for 65 years until his death in 2009.
Mrs. Harenza worked for the Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, OH before and during the Second World War and was attached to the Department of the Navy until her marriage. She joined her husband on his military assignments around the world and was a consummate Army wife and devoted mother of five sons. Mrs. Harenza was a long time Red Cross volunteer, an avid golfer and a member of Sacred Heart Church. Surviving are four of five sons: Joseph M. of Cumru Township; James A., husband of Jill of Bernville; Charles F.; and John A., husband of Kathryn all of Wyomissing. Other survivors include eight grandchildren: Brian J., Jeffrey A., Beth A., Michael L., David A., Adrienne J., Madeline J. and Elizabeth H. Harenza and one great grandchild, Samantha H. There is also a brother, Richard Indiciani of Galena, OH surviving.
In addition to her husband, Theresa was predeceased by a son, Denis M. Harenza and one sister, Nellie Sewell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 17, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 8th and Franklin Sts., West Reading, PA. Visitation will be held beginning at 8:45 A.M. before mass in the church. Interment will be in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Arrangements are entrusted to Edward J.
