Theresa Angeline Arentz

Theresa Angeline Arentz, 93, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Reading Hosptial. She was the loving wife of Raymond J. Arentz, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage until his passing in 1995.

Born in Wilmington, DE, she was one of four daughters of the late Leon and Helen (Remza) Karczewski. After graduating Reading Catholic High School, she became a wife and mother and devoted herself to raising her family. Theresa cherished her family, which was the definition of "close knit", and spoke to her sister Helen every night. She enjoyed cultivating her flower garden and shopping second hand stores.

Left to cherish her memory are sons: Steven Arentz, Sr., husband of Bonnie, of Mohnton, David Arentz, husband of Maureen, of Gilbertsville, and Timothy Arentz, husband of Karen, of Mohnton; daughter, Lori Aita, wife of Daren, of Newtown; grandchildren: Jan, Steven Jr., Noel, Nathan, Ian, Emily, Abby, Paige, and Hope; great grandchildren: Steven III, Samuel, and Emma; and sister, Helen Gantert of Oley Township.

Theresa was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah; and sisters, Dolores and Irene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, 42 Kerrick Rd. Shillington, PA 19607. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale.
