Theodore A. Rapp

Theodore Armington Rapp, Jr., 72, died June 6, 2001 at 1:34 am in his Laureldale residence.

He was the husband of Brooks D. Mitchell, who died January 22, 2007.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Theodore A. Sr. and Rachael (Dietrich) Rapp.

He was the owner-operator of T.A. Rapp Jewelers in Laureldale for 30 years, retiring in 1988.

Theodore was previously employed as a graphic artist by Henn Johnston Advertising, Reading and Grafika Commercial Printing, Inc., Sinking Spring.

He was a local artist dealing in realism using acrylics and was active in the Reading Camera Club.

Theodore is survived by a brother, Dr. Robert D. Rapp of Laureldale and two sisters, Carole A. (Rapp) wife of John E. Longenderfer, Orefield and Susan J. (Rapp) wife of Michael DeStasio, Jr., Hamburg.

He was predeceased by his stepmother, Marian M. (Sener) Rapp.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10am in Fairview Cemetery, Welsh Rd. & 4th St., Cumru Township, with the Rev. Charles E. Fair officiating. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements. www.christfuneralhome.com
