Theodore W. Faust

Theodore Wayne Faust, Jr., of N. Heidelberg Township, died June 15, 2012 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

He was the loving husband of Joyce L. (Hall) Faust who died June 23, 2011.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Theodore W., Sr. and Evelyn (Seavers) Faust.

Ted was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He also attended Albright College.

He was employed as a layout operator with Western Electric for over 30 years, retiring in 1997.

Theodore was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield.

He was a member of Victor Emmanuel II Society; Reading Works Federal Credit Union, which he also helped found; International Brotherhood of Electrical Union; East Ends Athletic Association and Skyline Drive Corvettes Club.

Ted was an animal lover and had a passion for model planes, trains and Corvettes. He was also an avid Philadelphia Sports fan and loved golf and horse racing.

Above all else, however, he was deeply devoted to his wife, Joyce.

Surviving are four children: Patricia A., wife of Brian Fair of Reading; Theodore L. Faust of Hamburg; Cheryl L., wife of Jeff Hart of Leesport and Rick A., husband of Sandra Faust of West Reading.

Other survivors include three siblings: Thomas, husband of Lucy Faust of Shillington; Anne, wife of Clifford Betz of Exeter Township and David Faust of Muhlenberg Township.

In addition, he is survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two very dear friends, Linda and Dave.

A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Holy Guardian Angel's R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
