Theodore B. Common

Theodore B. Common, 85, formerly of West Court Boulevard, Springmont, died Dec. 7 at 10:10 a.m. in Country Meadows of Wyomissing, where he had resided since June.

He was the husband of Mildred M. (Miller) Common, also a resident at Country Meadows.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late Renwick and Jessica (Bennett) Common.

Common was employed for 25 years as coordinator of the Governor's Council of Drug and Alcohol Abuse in the state, retiring in 1981.

He was a 1940 graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Common was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.

He is also survived by a son, Tod, Leura, Australia; and two daughters, Pamela J. (Common) Peters, Robesonia, and Janice G. (Common) Ranalli, West Lawn.

Other survivors include a brother, James, Riverside, Conn.; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading.
