Theodore C. Feltenberger

Theodore C. "Sonny" Feltenberger, Jr., 77, died September 6th at 1:10 am in his Laureldale residence.

He was the husband of Esther M. (Hepner) Feltenberger.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Theodore C. Sr., and Alberta (Williams) Feltenberger.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Feltenberger was employed 25 years as a truck driver for Beacon Container, Birdsboro, retiring in 1993.

He was a life time volunteer at Central (Laureldale) Fire Company, where he served as a fireman since 1949; Assistant Fire Chief 1954-1979 and last as Fire Chief 1979-2004.

Feltenberger is also survived by two sons, Bruce R. husband of Marilyn (Rosenberg) and David L. husband of Cynthia B. (Wummer) and a daughter, Diane S. (Feltenberger) wife of Patrick O'Brien all Laureldale.

Other survivors include two sisters, Jean (Feltenberger) Putt of Laureldale and Marveanna (Feltenberger) Redstone of St. Louis, Missouri.

He is also survived by six brothers, Richard, Earl, George, Frederick, all of Laureldale and Ronald and Jack both of Hyde Park.

There are six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three step granddaughters and two step great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 9:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewings Thursday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and 8:30 am until time of service both in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Contributions may be made to Central (Laureldale) Fire Company, 1409 Park Place, Laureldale, Pa 19605.
