Thelma M. Koenig

Thelma M. Koenig, 90, of Phoebe Berks Village, Wernersville, died Oct. 28 at 1:20 a.m. in the residence of a daughter, Janet M. (Koenig) Dark, Willow Glen Road, Morgantown.

Her husband, John R. Koenig, Sr., died Feb. 12, 1984.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Paul R. and Jennie (Coldren) Troutman.

Koenig was employed for 10 years as a secretary by Albright College, retiring in 1975.

She was a January 1929 graduate of Reading High School.

Koenig is also survived by a son, John R. Jr., Sinking Spring; and another daughter, Barbara K. (Koenig) Flexer, Rehoboth Beach, Del.

Other survivors include a brother, Paul R. Troutman, a resident at Phoebe Berks Village; and two sisters, Miriam (Troutman) Flatt, Reading, and Esther (Troutman) Colliflower, Coral Gables, Fla.

There are also six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
