Thelma E. Heist

Thelma E. (Angstadt) Heist, 90, formerly of 305 West Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, died March 21st at 1:40 a.m. in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township where she had been since June 18, 2002.

She was the widow of Wayne N. Heist who died August 10, 1985.

Born in Reading she was a daughter of the late George F. and Edith P. (Hinnershitz) Angstadt.

She was a licensed Practical Nurse for 18 years in Berks Heim, Bern Township then as a private duty nurse until retiring in 1985.

Heist was a member of Lighthouse Bible Church, Shillington.

She is survived by a son, Ronald W. husband of Nancy O. (Kemp) Hensinger of Fleetwood and a step-daughter, Janet (Heist) wife of Ronald Banks, Alburtis.

Heist is also survived by two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn S. Hensinger who died July 22, 1983,

Graveside services will be Monday 1:00 p.m. in Alsace Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Rev. Terry Griffith officiating. No public Viewing. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
