Thelma D. Baylor

Thelma D. Baylor, 90, formerly of Hamburg died April 6, 2017 in the Orwigsburg Center. Thelma was the widow of Howard F. Baylor, Sr. who died November 1, 2001. Thelma was born in Pottsville and was the daughter of the late Milton and Mabel Koch. She last worked as the manager of the sewing department at the Hamburg Center for 10 years retiring in 1991. Thelma was a past member of the Union Fire Company #1, Hamburg and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Hamburg. She is survived by a daughter, Gail C. wife of James Hendricks, Sinking Spring; two sons, Dennis J. Baylor, Tilden Township, Howard F. Baylor, Jr. husband of Terry Baylor, Windsor Township, four grandchildren, one step-granddaughter; three great grandchildren, one step-great grandson, a niece and nephew. A sister, Ethel Kamp, predeceased Thelma. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 10 th at 11:00 a.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Schuylkill Memorial Park.
