Terry Loose

Terry G. Loose, 79, of Hamburg, passed away on March 26, 2024. Born in West Reading, he was the son of Elmer and Hattie (Bear) Loose. Terry was the loving husband of Rosemary "Rose" A. (Metzger), with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

He spent 32 years employed as a toolmaker at Dana Corporation.

Terry was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, until its closing in December 2023. He was also a member of Shartlesville Fish & Game as well as Lenhartsville Fish & Game.

Terry had a generous soul and was always the one to buy the first round. Whenever someone needed assistance, he never thought twice about offering his help. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. His love of shooting sports led him to become a lifetime member of the NRA. He also found joy in working on cars and was a true lover of dogs.

Beloved husband and proud father, Terry is survived by his wife, Rose, of Hamburg, and his daughter, Stephanie Wright, wife of Craig, of Sugarland, TX. Also surviving is a grandson, Brett Gilmore, of Kutztown.

Terry was predeceased by his birth mother, Anna Hoover.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11AM at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, 40 South 4th Street, Hamburg. Friends and family will be received from 10:30-11AM.
