Suzanne C. Richmond

Suzanne (Sue) Carol Richmond, 68, passed away on June 15, 2026 at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Dolores Broadbelt. She is best known for her kind heart, beautiful smile and unique laugh. Sue graduated from Wyomissing Area Jr/Sr High School in Wyomissing, PA in 1976. She worked as a line cook for her father’s restaurant, Village Pantry in Wernersville, PA as well as Kumm Esse Diner in Myerstown, PA. In her free time, Sue enjoyed bowling, watching Roseanne reruns, making her special salad/cooking and spending time with her family.

Those cherishing Sue’s memory are: her eldest son, Matthew Richmond and spouse Ashley Richmond, and her youngest son Richard Richmond; along with her 5 grandchildren: Kailee Giallonardo and spouse Ryan Giallonardo, Christopher Sweigart, AJ Richmond, Cara Violet Richmond and Ricky Marlin Richmond.

Sue is also survived and will be missed dearly by her 3 siblings and 6 nieces: Mark Broadbelt and his daughter Kate, Daniel Broadbelt and spouse Lori Broadbelt and their 3 daughters: Athena, Crystal and Stephanie and their respective spouses and children, Connie Imprint and spouse Phil Imprint, and their 2 daughters, Caitlyn and Paige and their respective spouses and children.

The funeral service for Sue will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611, with burial to follow in Laureldale Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather from 12 p.m. until the beginning of the service.
