Suzanne Elizabeth Pizzuto

Suzanne Elizabeth (Weadon) Pizzuto, 35, of Muhlenberg Township, died January 27, 2015 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

She was the wife of Stephen Michael Pizzuto, whom she married July 17, 2010.

Born August 30, 1979 in Santa Clara, CA, she was a daughter of William J., husband of Carole Weadon of Macungie and Linda S. (Mulligan), wife of Frederick Smith of Sinking Spring.

Suzanne was a 1997 graduate of Emmaus High School. She earned her bachelors degree from Penn State University, where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority, and her masters degree from Wilkes University.

She was employed as a teacher with Kutztown Area School District for 10 years, last working in December. She loved teaching and was a former Science Olympiad adviser and also a former science department chair person.

Suzanne enjoyed dancing, cheerleading, baton and gymnastics.

She both played and taught piano.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are her two sisters, Christina M., wife of Gregg Simpkins of Emmaus and Lisa A., wife of John Martinez of Oceanside, CA.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
