Suzann Margaret Bright (Savitz), 85, of Spring Township formerly from West Reading, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2021. Born September 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (McNab) and George Savitz.
Suzann was born and raised in Allentown and became a registered nurse after attending the Abington Nursing School. While there, she was introduced to her future husband of 63 years, Robert Bright. Their marriage, family, and retirement are what many people only dream of.
Suzann and Robert built a life in West Reading where Suzann first worked at the Reading Hospital and then 20 years for the Visiting Nurses. Retirement took her and Robert on many adventures from Sydney, to Saint Petersburg, to Athens, and the Canadian Rockies. She treasured family: raising their two sons, being involved in the lives of their four grandchildren, and being a loving member of their extended family. She also treasured her faith and friendships. Sue was a voracious reader and faithful subscriber to the Reading Eagle her entire life.
Suzann faithfully attended St. John's Reformed Church in Sinking Spring where she was a member of the choir. Suzann spread love and care as a nurse, wife, Mom, Nana, family member, and friend.
Suzann was predeceased by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her sister Judy Nikischer, her two sons William and David, her daughters-in-law Cindy and Maggie, and by her grandchildren Matthew, Samantha, McKenzie, and Jackson. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Savitz.
Suzann gave us wonderful memories, she was never imposing, never judgmental, and loved her family deeply. She will be missed and always loved.
Donations can be made in her memory to St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 W Penn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. The family is planning a memorial service a later date. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
