Susan A. Kelly

Susan A. (Malacavage) Kelly, 58, passed away Sunday, September, 17, 2023, in her Brecknock Township home.

Born in Marion Heights, PA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Angeline (Poponiak) Malavavage.

She was the devoted and caring wife of Judson R. Kelly. They shared a beautiful bond of love and companionship for 40 years, and were soulmates for 45 years.

Susan was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them.

Susan was an exceptional mother, with a heart full of unconditional love that knew no bounds. Avid gardener who had a passion for the beach and soaking up the sun, cherishing every moment spent with her family. She found joy in exploring new places, taking long walks and hikes, and searching for hidden treasures while antique shopping. Her love for travel and country music are just a couple of the many things that made her unique and special.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Jonathan M. Kelly, husband of Erin Smith, NC, and Angela (Kelly), wife of Sugunda Zhingre, Reading; and five grandchildren: Autumn Kelly, Suannabelle Zhingre, Lucas Zhingre, Remington Zhingre, and Roman Zhingre.

She was predeceased by her son, Nicholas J. Kelly on October 4, 2004, and her brother, Kenneth Malacavage USMC, in 1986.

A viewing will be Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private at Laureldale Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
