Steven P. Rightmyer

Steven P. Rightmyer, 45, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away September 16, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center after a lengthy battle with medical issues; 14 years after receiving a heart transplant.

He was the husband of Virginia P. "Ginny" (Pochuski) Rightmyer, whom he married almost 21 years ago on November 6, 1993.

Born January 2, 1969 in Reading he was a son of Carolyn A. Miles, Muhlenberg Township; and Rodney E. Rightmyer, husband of Jan Hahn-Rightmyer, Muhlenberg Township.

Steve was a 1988 graduate of both Governor Mifflin High School and Berks Career and Technology Center.

He worked in construction, having last worked for All Star Distributing.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Flyers and the Green Bay Packers. He was a wonderful husband and devoted father. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, Cory Steven Rightmyer, at home; and his brother, Mark E. Rightmyer, Reading. He was predeceased by his brother, Eric D. Rightmyer.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
