Steven B. Johnson, 49, of Exeter Twp. died September 23, 2010.

He was the husband of Kate E. (Kaufman) Johnson. They were married October 28, 1995

Born in Marysville, OH, he was a son of Larry Johnson, Marysville, OH and Jane (Brubaker) Martin, St. Helena, SC. He is also survived by his step-father, Don Ebright, Findlay, OH.

He was a graduate of Upper Sandusky (OH) High School in 1979 and joined the U.S. Air Force as a weather observer. He graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and took MBA courses at Kutztown University. His career included serving as director of Blue Mountain Camp in Hamburg, Pa. and working for the Vanguard Investment Company as a Financial Planner. Most recently he had his own certified financial planning business and was active as a public speaker.

Steve was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Reading. He loved Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to his God and family. His faith led him to support a variety of causes where he affirmed opportunities to embrace life with conviction and passion.

In addition to his wife, Kate, survivors include his daughters, Zara Elizabeth, 8, and Tia Kathryn, 5; his sister René Sherman, Upper Sandusky, OH; and two brothers, John Ebright, Powell, OH and Jamey Johnson, Marysville, OH. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 29 at 11 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church, 37 S 5th St. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
